Ink stain removal for carpets can be tricky and there is no guarantee that you will be totally successful. Your first step should be to use rubbing alcohol on the ink stain. Like all stains, the quicker you get to it the better your chances of being able to remove the stain. Make sure you don't poor the alcohol directly on the carpet but onto a cloth. You will then want to rub the alcohol onto the ink stain carefully being sure not to spread the stain and make it worse.
After that you need to blot it up using a clean cloth or you can vacuum it up if you have a shop-vac type vacuum cleaner. Do this over and over until you have removed the stain or can see no more improvement from time to time. If you still have a visible stain, you might try a cleaning solvent. This ink stain removal technique should go a long way toward making your carpet look new again.
